A private-label range for a North American distributor, live in 11 weeks

The customer had shelf space and a brand, but no hardware line. They did not want to fund tooling or wait a year for certification.

The approach

We built the range on existing certified platforms — handlesets, heavy-duty levers and deadbolts already carrying ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 — and put everything customer-facing under their name.

What changed

  • Retail colour box, hang tab and barcode to their artwork
  • Their model numbering used on cartons, labels and packing lists
  • Logo laser-marked on the rose and the deadbolt escutcheon
  • A private keyway, so their keys are not interchangeable with any other brand on the shelf
  • Bilingual instruction sheet and template

Why it was quick

No tooling meant no T1 sampling cycle and no re-certification. The critical path was artwork approval, not manufacturing.

Result

22 SKUs on shelf 11 weeks after the first artwork file arrived, with no tooling investment.
