These are our standard commercial terms. They are a starting point — anything here can be varied by written agreement in the contract for a specific programme.
1. Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days and are stated per model, function and finish, ex-works Zhongshan unless another Incoterm is specified. Prices assume the standard latch, strike plate and packing unless otherwise agreed.
2. Minimum order
One carton per model and finish. Mixed cartons by arrangement, normally for trial and sample orders.
3. Tooling
Where tooling is required, title passes to the buyer on final payment for that tooling. We store it free of charge, maintain it during normal production and return it within 30 days of a written request.
4. Payment
30% deposit with order, balance against copy of the bill of lading, unless other terms are agreed in writing. L/C at sight is accepted for orders above an agreed value.
5. Delivery
Lead times are stated on the order confirmation and run from the later of deposit receipt and final artwork or sample approval. Partial shipment is permitted unless excluded in writing.
6. Inspection
Buyers are welcome to inspect before shipment, in person or through a third-party agency. Where an agency is used, the inspection standard and AQL must be agreed before production starts.
7. Warranty
Five years on mechanical operation, two years on plated and coated finishes, from the date of shipment, against defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Coastal and high-humidity installations are quoted separately. Replacement parts are supplied ex-works.
8. Claims
Quote the order code and shipment date. Claims for visible damage or shortage must be raised within 14 days of arrival.
